Impeach President Mohammadu Buhari Now

By Blessed Hosanna Ejogharado

Two days after the New Year sorrowful celebration because of lack of fuel for people to travel home to celebrate with their loved ones, almost all National newspapers reported that Herdsmen slaughtered 20 innocent people, burn houses in fresh Benue State attacks.

At the same period, there was report that a traditional ruler and his youngest pregnant wife with scores of others were killed by herdsmen in Southern Kaduna in Kaduna State.

Last year, the former Head of Service and Secretary to the Military Government Chief Olu Falae was kidnapped by herdsmen in Ondo State. There were similar stories of killing by herdsmen in Ekiti, Enugu, Plateau States, even in Delta State.

At Ovre-Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, a member of the State House of Assembly alleged that there used to be a helicopter that uses to bring ammunition and weapons to the herdsmen in that area. In Aniocha Area, a traditional ruler was kidnapped by herdsmen near Igbodo in Ika North East Local Government Area and his corpse was found somewhere in Edo State.

In Uwherun Area in of  Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, the natives of Uwherun blocked the Patani/Port Harcourt road severally protesting the killings, maiming and raping of their wives in their farm land by the herdsmen.

There are many more atrocities committed by the  so-called herdsmen without the President and the Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Armed Forces taken decisive action. All he could say is the President condemned the killing by the armed herdsmen.

The Federal Government and the Military Forces in Nigeria have told the nation more than three times that Shakarau the Leader of Boko Haram have been killed, yet every now and then Shakarau will issue a video clip threatening Nigeria peace. We do not know who is telling lies, whether the Nigeria Armed Forces or  PMB spokeperson.

In the Seventh schedule of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) under the oath of Office of President, the President took oath to uphold the content of the constitution including protecting lives and properties of the citizenry.

When I was growing up in the late forties and early fifties, herdsmen are known to be carrying only stick with which they used in directing the movement of their Cattles.

Today, herdsmen carries Ak 47 rifles. HABA! How do they have access to procure those sophisticated ammunitions? If a cow is killed, an Alhaji will come to claim the ownership of the killed cow. Why cant we know those herdsmen that are killing innocent people anyhow? DO THEY NOT HAVE OGA?

At page 22 of the Punch Newspaper of Wednesday, January 3, 2018, the almighty Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi was quoted as saying, “when you don’t protect life and property, what do you do?  It is impeachment.”

Rotimi Amaechi was making reference to the killings in Rivers State that Governor Nyesom Wike should quit or be impeached if he is unable to protect life and properties in River State.

During the Sun Rise Daily propramme of Channel TV on Thursday, 4th January 2018 the National President of Benue State Student Association, Miss Vera Akase accused PMB for reneging in his duties to protect life and properties. More innocent souls have been destroyed during the regime of PMB than that of Goodluck Jonathan.

I am not a party card carrying person, but suffice it to say that PMB  has not done anything well that would   qualify him to seek re-election in 2019. Before PMB took over office in May 29, 2015,a dollar was sold for N160 But today is now N361. A litre of fuel (petrol) was sold for 87 but today is between 250 and 300 per litre. Alhaji Lai Mohammend will tell us lie that all is well.

The House of Senate rejected Mr Ibrahim Magu as EFCC Chairman, PMB said without Magu no EFCC.  Right from my Secondary school days, even during the Military era, the Comptroler General of Custom has always been promoted from the rank of Deputy Comptroler General . The Senate said the custom CG must wear uniform, PMB said no. It must be retired army colonel. Why not ask a retired army general to head the Nigeria Police as the Inspector General of Police?

PMB has committed enough impeachable offences and he must be impeached now.

He spent our tax payers money to treat himself in London Hospital, we are not against the treatment. But for him to tell us how much of our tax payers money was spent. He said it was not necessary, yet he said “change begins with me”

PRESIDENT Buhari government foundation is laid on falsehood and so cannot stand. People waving broom for his reelection should know that Nigeria is tied of insincere government.

The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria section 138 as amended read thus. “The President shall not, during his tenure of office, hold any other executive office or paid employment in any capacity whatsoever,” yet apart from being the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he is the Minister of Petroleum Resources and now people are groaning for fuel scarcity. He should be impeached now.
