Ighomrore Congratulates Deacon Chris Iyovwaye on Wellman Group’s Landmark Colloquium

EFFURUN/Nigeria: Dr. Patrick Ighomrore, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development and National Patron of the Nigerian Youth Alternative Council, has applauded Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Wellman Group, for the successful hosting of a landmark colloquium to commemorate 20 years of the Wellman Group. Themed “The Coast to Coast X-ray of the Nigerian Project: What Panacea?”, the event underscored two decades of remarkable growth and contributions by the Wellman Group to Nigeria’s economic landscape.

Dr. Ighomrore extolled Deacon Iyovwaye’s exceptional leadership and dexterity in nurturing the Wellman Group from a zero-capital venture to a multimillion-dollar enterprise, with significant strides in the marine industry. He described Iyovwaye as a man of faith and compassion, whose Christian values and philanthropy have left indelible marks on the lives of many, particularly the underprivileged.
The colloquium, held in the twin city of Effurun, brought together an array of notable personalities, including former President Goodluck Jonathan; Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme; former Ogun State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; Dr. Henrietta Onwuegbuzie; Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili; Dr. Moses Umoru of the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce; Professor Mike Ozekhome; Professor Jerry Gana; Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao; Mr. Peter Obi; and the Emir of Zaria.
