HON. CHIEF D.B.E. OSSAI: Enebeli Task Ndokwa Citizens to Honour Book Unveiling
ASABA/Nigeria: Dr. (Chief) Pharm. Paul O. Enebeli, the former President-General of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) and a distinguished pharmacist, has called on Ndokwa indigenes and all Nigerians to attend the unveiling of a book celebrating the life and achievements of Hon. Chief Barr. Sir D.B.E. Ossai, in an event that will hold on Friday, May 24, at Lamibele’s Place, opposite Government House on Anwai Road in Asaba, starting at 11:00 AM.
Enebeli, who will chair the unveiling ceremony, emphasized the importance of the community’s support.
“This is our own. We have to give our support, as such a thing has not happened in our clime for a long time. Therefore, I ask our people at home and abroad to please come out en masse to support this effort,” he stated.
The ceremony coincides with Ossai’s 87th birthday and will feature the presentation of his two latest books, Reminiscences and Selected Speeches and The Price of Infamy. These works highlight Ossai’s significant contributions to law, literature, and public service.
Prominent figures that iares expected to grace the occasion, include H.R.M Eze Friday Odini Abaja, the Achiame, Ukwuata 1 of Umukwuata, and Engr. Paul Igho Omemiroro Evwieroro, the Osevwe of Agbon Kingdom KSJ, who will serve as principal presenters. Their participation underscores the cultural and intellectual heritage celebrated through Ossai’s works.
The event will also be attended by H.R.H Ossai Enweliku, the Okpala-Uku of Umutu.
Special guests of honour include notable figures such as Prof. Tonukari JohnPaul, Delta State’s Commissioner for Higher Education; Hon. Sir Okenmor Fidelis Tilije, Delta State’s Commissioner for Finance; and Hon. Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of Nigeria. They will be joined by Mr. Augustine O. Alegeh, SAN, former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, and Chief John Ajayi, the Asiwaju of Ijan Ekiti Kingdom and Publisher/CEO of Marketing Edge Publication Ltd.
Enebeli highlighted the significance of the event, noting that it celebrates not only Ossai’s 87 years of life but also his latest literary contributions. Reminiscences and Selected Speeches offers a compelling insight into his profound experiences and perspectives, while The Price of Infamy delves into the costs of societal and moral degradation, providing thought-provoking commentary.
As guests gather to honour Ossai’s lifetime achievements and literary contributions, the event stands as a testament to the enduring impact of a true Renaissance man in Nigeria’s cultural and intellectual landscape.
