Haulage Operators Charged To Obey Government’s Rules
WARRI/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner, Directorate of Transport, Hon. Oviemuno Oghoore has enjoined haulage operators in the state to obey Government’s rules and regulations in their day to day operation.
Honourable Oghoore gave the advise in Warri during a sensitization meeting held with those who were involved in the collection of haulage revenue on behalf of Government in the State.
According to the Commissioner, ” Haulage is a road tax and those involved in the haulage of goods, owners of haulage Vehicles and haulage Companies ought to pay to Government”
He said that the approach would help State Government to put in place, the necessary infrastructure.
Hon. Oghoore, said that there were Consultants in the three Senatorial districts, adding that the state government had brought all the agents under the consultants to discuss and find ways to help them do their work seamlessly.
The Commissioner, enjoined the agents to be diligent and civil in carrying out their duties.
