Guwor Pledges Better Working Environment for Lawmakers, Staff

ASABA/Nigeria: The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a conducive working environment for lawmakers and staff of the State Legislature.

Guwor made the statement on Thursday during an inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation of the administrative building at the Assembly Complex on Okpanam Road, Asaba.

Accompanied by the Clerk of the House, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia, management staff, and labour union leaders, the Speaker expressed satisfaction with the resolution of the long-standing issue of the central cooling system in the facility.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, after the inspection, Guwor emphasized that the rehabilitation is not just about infrastructure but about fostering a comfortable and productive environment for effective governance and collaboration.

“As we continue to work towards the development of our dear Delta State, we must ensure that our infrastructure supports our goals. This rehabilitation work is a step in the right direction, and I look forward to seeing its positive impact on our work,” Guwor said.

The Speaker commended staff members for their patience and urged them to remain focused on achieving greater productivity.

Staff at the Assembly Complex expressed gratitude to the Speaker for addressing their concerns, particularly the restoration of the central cooling system. They praised his leadership and commitment to resolving critical infrastructure challenges in the legislature.
