Guwor Hails Tinubu on Flag-Off of 2nd Niger Bridge Access Road

ASABA/Nigeria: Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the official flag-off of the construction of a 17.5km dual carriage access road to the Second Niger Bridge.

Guwor described the project as a transformative step towards enhancing connectivity and easing vehicular movement between Delta State and the South East, particularly through the Asaba axis.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker, who also serves as the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, lauded the federal government’s commitment to infrastructure development. He emphasized that the road, once completed, would boost economic activities, facilitate trade, and improve the quality of life for residents.

“This historic event marks a significant milestone in strengthening the socio-economic ties between Delta and neighboring states. The federal government’s investment in infrastructure will have a far-reaching positive impact on commerce, tourism, and overall economic growth,” Guwor stated.

He specifically appreciated President Tinubu for prioritizing physical infrastructure and thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who represented the President at the flag-off ceremony. According to him, the project underscores the administration’s resolve to advance development through strategic investments.

“The flag-off of this road project signals the beginning of a new era of connectivity and cooperation between Delta and the South East, particularly Anambra State. I commend the federal government’s vision and commitment to infrastructure development, which will undoubtedly drive economic growth and improve the lives of citizens,” he added.

Guwor further applauded Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to infrastructural transformation through his MORE agenda, assuring that the Delta State House of Assembly remains committed to supporting his developmental initiatives for a greater Delta State.
