Group Supports Okowa 2019 Re-Election Bid
KWALE/Nigeria: A political group made up People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains in Ndokwa-West Local Government have endorsed the Delta State Governor, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as their sole Governorship candidate for the forthcoming 2019 general elections in the country.
The group known as ‘Okowa 4 Real 2019’ in one of its extraordinary meetings held at the resident of the Delta State PDP Secretary, Chief Obi Nzete at Etua-Utagba-uno unanimously adopted Governor Okowa as the best man and the only candidate that should be elected as governor of Delta state to continue to steer the state to greater glorious heights.
Chief Obi Nzete who is the Chairman of the group in his address stated unequivocally stated that as far as they are concerned, that there is no vacancy in the Delta State Government House. He also noted that the group is out to unite Ndokwa-West and ensure that Okowa gets 100 percent vote in all the polling units in the area come 2019.
The group also enumerated some of the Governor’s scorecard across the state even as they lauded him for what they described as an unparalleled human capital development, infrastructural development, even distribution of political appointments, accessibility and transparency in governance.
In a chat with our correspondent, the Secretary of the group, Hon Uche Ossai disclosed that a reconciliatory committee has been set up with members drawn from the wards in the LGA; according to him, the committee terms of reference is to reconcile and help unite the PDP in every ward in Ndokwa-West local government.
