Governor Oborevwori Promises Massive Infrastructural Renewal and Environmental Sustainability For Warri

WARRI/Nigeria: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has pledged to restore the former glory of Warri, Uvwie, and the surrounding areas through a comprehensive plan of infrastructural renewal and unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Governor made this significant announcement during a thanksgiving service organized in honor of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Redemption Hall, Mega Parish, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the State. Joined by his wife, Tobore, and other prominent government officials, Governor Oborevwori expressed delight in participating in the service, where prayers were offered to thank God for the Speaker’s elevation to the number one lawmaker in the State.
Speaking passionately about the pressing issue of flooding in Warri and its environs, Governor Oborevwori sternly declared his administration’s intention to demolish all structures built along waterways. He also issued a stern warning against the dumping of refuse into drainages, emphasizing the necessity of ensuring unhindered flow for floodwater in the area.
Governor Oborevwori was quoted as saying, “We will rebuild infrastructures in Warri with good roads, flyovers, drainages, and street lights, and we shall restore the lost glory of the oil city.”
The Governor went on to offer valuable advice to Speaker Guwor, urging him to remain humble and accountable in both his private and public life. He cited his own experience as a six-year-serving Speaker, attributing his success to being accountable and having a supportive Governor.
During the service, Speaker Guwor thanked the attendees for gracing the occasion and expressed gratitude to God for his elevation to the esteemed position. The event was also blessed by the wise words of Pastor Charles Obasa, the Pastor in charge of RCCG, Region 23, who emphasized the importance of leaders living purposeful lives and having a clear vision to make a positive impact on the lives of the people they lead.
The thanksgiving service was attended by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Kefas Agbu, represented by the Speaker; Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, wife of the Deputy Governor; Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the immediate past Governor of the State; Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, the immediate past Deputy Governor; and Chief Kingsley Esiso, State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Also present were Senator James Manager; Hon. Julius Pondi and Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi of the House of Representatives; Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.
