FOOSTODEY Donates Toyota Sienna Van to Delta First Lady’s Charity Foundation

ASABA/Nigeria: FOOSTODEY, an international non-governmental organization, has donated a branded Toyota Sienna van to the ‘You Matter Charity Foundation,’ led by Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori, the wife of the Delta State Governor. The donation was made in celebration of the foundation’s one-year anniversary.

During the presentation at Government House Asaba, the National Coordinator of FOOSTODEY, Elvis Ahior, highlighted the significance of the donation. He noted that the gesture was in recognition of the impactful work the ‘You Matter Charity Foundation’ has accomplished in its first year. Ahior praised the foundation’s commitment to creating a society where everyone feels valued, regardless of their background, and expressed FOOSTODEY’s alignment with the foundation’s motto, “Everybody is Somebody.”

Ahior emphasized that the foundation’s efforts have not only made a difference within Delta State but have also garnered national and international recognition. The foundation has been a trailblazer in advocating for accessible healthcare, education for every child, women’s empowerment, and the elimination of gender-based violence and drug abuse. The van, he stated, would enhance the foundation’s capacity to reach more individuals, especially in rural areas, and support its ongoing outreach efforts across the state.

In her response, Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori, the Founder of the ‘You Matter Charity Foundation,’ expressed her deep appreciation to FOOSTODEY and all Deltans who have supported her initiative. She acknowledged the positive impact the foundation has had over the past year in providing hope and opportunities for vulnerable communities in Delta State. She pledged to continue using her position to advocate for the less privileged and to further the foundation’s mission of uplifting the marginalized in society.

Comrade Reuben Izeze, the Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads) and leader of the delegation, commended the foundation’s grassroots impact across various communities. He reiterated that the donated van would not only facilitate the foundation’s mobility but also enhance its logistical capabilities in executing its humanitarian activities.
