FMCIDE Partners with Aleph Group to Equip 2,600+ Nigerian Youth with Digital Advertising Skills

ABUJA/Nigeria: In a significant move to bolster Nigeria’s digital economy, the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy (FMCIDE) has partnered with Aleph Group, a leading global player in digital advertising, to train over 2,600 Nigerian youth in essential digital advertising skills.

This initiative is part of FMCIDE’s flagship project, the 3 Million Technical Talent Programme (3MTT).

The collaboration will provide young Nigerians with access to Aleph’s Digital Ad Expert (DAE) programme, designed to equip participants with the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Aleph Group operates in over 130 emerging markets, facilitating connections between advertisers and consumers across more than 45 top digital platforms, including Google, Meta, Microsoft, and TikTok.

This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambitious goal of creating 2 million digital jobs by 2025.

“Teaching our youth digital advertising skills is crucial for advancing Nigeria’s economy in the digital age,” stated Francis Sani, Special Adviser on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Capital at FMCIDE.

The DAE programme, with its emphasis on practical and industry-relevant skills, is poised to address the pressing digital skills gap in the country.

The programme will be offered in both live and self-paced formats, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for participants nationwide, according to Stanislaus Martins, Aleph Group’s managing director for West Africa.

Graduates of the DAE programme will receive a globally recognized Digital Ad Expert certificate, which will provide them access to Aleph’s extensive alumni network and open doors to promising career opportunities within the digital advertising sector.

Aleph Group aims to train 800,000 students across the African continent through its DAE programme, making this partnership a crucial step toward that goal.

“This collaboration aligns with our mission to foster innovation and create opportunities for young people to thrive in the global digital economy,” said Gaston Taratuta, Founder and CEO of Aleph Group. “It will empower the next generation of Nigerian digital leaders.”

With the initial cohort exceeding 2,600 participants, this partnership is set to significantly enhance participation in the DAE programme in Nigeria, paving the way for a more robust and skilled digital workforce in the country.
