Ezewu Tasks Stakeholders On Behavioural Reorientation Of Children

AGBOR/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, has stressed the need for stakeholders in the education industry to contribute their quotas towards ensuring positive behavioural reorientation of children.

Ezewu, who made the call at Igumbor -Otiku Secondary School, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area during a-three day sensitisation workshop, also harped on the need to eliminate social vices among students.

The commissioner said that it was only when the students were continuously enlightened on the importance of being upright at all times and the dangers associated with unhealthy lifestyle that they could realise their dreams in life.

While urging teachers to always show more commitments to their duties with a view to impacting positively on the students, Ezewu admonished parents not to leave the whole work on their children in the hands of teachers alone, but should strive to ensure that they do their own part in order to guide the children effectively.

Ezewu noted that teachers and stakeholders must be properly equipped with the required skills to be able to give the children effective counseling and guidance to succeed in life .

She used the opportunity to call on students to take their studies seriously, adding that hard work was the key to success in life.
