Eze Mourns the Loss of Mal. Inuwa Mo-Allayidi, the Waziri of Jimeta
PORT HARCOURT/Nigeria: Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mal. Inuwa Mo-Allayidi, the Waziri of Jimeta in Adamawa State.
In a heartfelt statement released on Thursday, Chief Eze described the late Waziri as a mentor, friend, brother, and a man of exceptional humanity. Recalling his personal encounters with the deceased, Eze narrated how his life and career were profoundly shaped by his time in the defunct Gongola State, where he was posted for his National Youth Service in 1989.
Eze, initially disappointed by the posting, found solace and inspiration under the mentorship of Mal. Inuwa, who was then the Chief Administrator of Yola Local Government Council. Through the support of Mal. Inuwa and other influential figures, including the late Alhaji Gidado Abubakar, Eze became a notable figure in the region, which later became Adamawa State.
“Mal. Inuwa was more than a mentor; he was a father figure who treated me like family. He ensured my comfort and safety throughout my 22 years in Adamawa State,” Eze said. He added that their bond was so profound that he named his son after the late Waziri, a testament to their enduring relationship.
Eze recounted how the support of Mal. Inuwa and others, such as Rear Admiral Murtala Nyako and the late Lamido of Adamawa, HRH Alh. Aliyu Mustapha, helped him establish his first business and build a life in the region. He credited his posting to Gongola State as a divine plan that shaped his personal and professional journey.
Reacting to the news of Inuwa’s death, Eze said, “The call informing me of his passing devastated me. I have lost a son, a friend, a boss, and a brother. Mal. Inuwa was a remarkable leader and one of the most detribalized Nigerians I have ever known. His impact on my life and many others will never be forgotten.”
Eze prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Waziri’s soul and extended his condolences to his family and the people of Adamawa State.
“Adieu, my son. Adieu, my brother. Adieu, my boss. Adieu, Waziri,” Eze concluded.
The passing of Mal. Inuwa Mo-Allayidi marks the end of an era for many who admired his leadership and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service and dedication to humanity.
