Environmental Sanitation Holds In Delta State Holds Saturday October 27

ASABA/Nigeria: The monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise for the month of October will hold in Delta State today, Saturday October 27, 2018, between the hours of 7am and 10am.

A statement signed by the Director of Information, Mr Paul Osahor, stated that during the period of the exercise there would be restrictions on the movement of persons and vehicles except those engaged in essential duties and inter State journeys.

The statement further stated that State Commissioner for Environment, Barr John Nani and staff of the Ministry and other relevant government agencies would monitor the exercise, saying that officials of the State Waste Management Board and Local Government Councils were to evacuate the resultant refuse to approved government dump sites.

It stated that defaulters would be sanctioned by an appropriate mobile sanitation court which would be on standby during the exercise, even as it enjoined Deltans and residents in the State to use the period of the exercise to keep their surroundings and drainages clean.
