AMAI/Nigeria: Encomiums were poured weekend at the burial of Late Ogbuefi (Supol) Benson Osaenwechukwu Onyolu (Retd), a family member of Pa John Onyolu of Umuosele Quarters Of Amai kingdom in Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State, at an event which took place during the on Saturday 27th of February at Catholic Church premises which attracted men and women from different spheres of life.
Speaking to newsmen is Barrister Banedict Onyolu one of the deceased son, who describe him as his mentor said, “Your virtues of care, sense of judgement, leadership and peace speaks for you today”. Noting that despite the fact he was not his biological father but he gave him life, raised him up with exceptional characters and showed him the role to life, neither did he allow him to miss the vacuum of his father’s demise, today am a replicant of his attitude because I studied and took his steps which brought me to greatness today. Adieu my father until we meet to part no more, the angels of the Lord shall hold you firmly and guide you to a place of comfort and peace, he added. He extend his love and warm appreciation to everyone who took out their time from their business schedule to join him at his father’s burial ceremony.
In the same vein, his younger brother High Chief Sunny Nwanede Onyolu, the Aku-bu-eze one of Amai kingdom also condoles with the children over their father’s death, urging the family to take solace in God while hoping for immortality, which is the price of our good while on earth. While extolling his virtues, the duo maintained that Late Ogbuefi (Supol) Benson Osaenwechukwu Onyolu (Retd) was a good man, a caring brother and friend. I wish him a peaceful and joyful arrival at God’s bossom. I also pray that God give his children the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. He wishes the family well and asks God to keep his children to emulate his virtues. May his soul rest in peace because he died in the Lord.
Also speaking at the event is Mr. Anthony Onyolu who is the eldest son of the deceased, who expressed his feelings over the death of their father, noting that his father means everything to him. In his words, “I cannot still believe you are no more with us, it is still like a dream to me as most times the thought of calling you flashes through my sub consciousness, reminding me that I have not spoken to you, only to be awoken to reality that you are no more in this world but in heaven”.
He was my friend and my confident, a Godly Man and a fully devoted Christian. He advises me on how to leave my life on daily basis. He really pains me that I have lost a great man. His care and support is something unforgettable, I will forever miss him. He also thanked everyone who came to condole with him on the occasion of his father’s burial ceremony.
