Elumelu Delivers on Promise with Multiple Community Projects in Aniocha North …..spearheads town halls, ICT centers, and solar streetlights to uplift communities

ISELE-UKU/Nigeria: It was a momentous occasion in Aniocha North Local Government Area as Chief Solomon Arenyeka, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), commissioned several key infrastructure projects initiated and executed by Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, the immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.
The projects, aimed at improving the living standards of the people, were inaugurated on Thursday, March 27, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the development of the area.

The projects included community town halls, ICT centers, solar street lights, and Obi palaces, all funded and executed by Elumelu for the people of Aniocha North. Specifically, the commissioning ceremony saw the unveiling of community town halls in Issele-Azagba, Otulu, Ezi, Idumuje-Ugboko, and Issele-Uku, Obi palaces in Onicha-Olona, Obomkpa, and Idumuje-Unor, as well as ICT centers in Onicha-Ugbo and Issele-Uku. Additional infrastructure included a market road and Ogbuefe Nnamdi Mohayam Road in Issele-Uku, a farm road, and solar streetlights in Onicha-Uku.

In his speech, Chief Arenyeka expressed his appreciation for the landmark projects, emphasizing that they aligned with the M.O.R.E Agenda of the state government, which prioritizes infrastructure development. “What you have done today by building these projects is that you have taken civilization to another level in our state,” Arenyeka stated. He also noted that the projects would benefit various sectors of society, including traditional rulers, students, road users, and community leaders.
The Delta State PDP Chairman further urged the communities to take ownership of the projects, ensuring their proper maintenance for long-term benefits. “I urge the people to take care of these facilities as they will continue to serve the needs of the communities for generations,” he advised.

Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, who introduced the completed projects during the ceremony, spoke about the importance of the Obi palaces, stating that they were in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda, which aims to strengthen the traditional institution in the state. He explained that historically, most communities had rulers who used private homes as palaces. Elumelu’s vision was to create permanent palaces for the Obi, ensuring continuity of leadership. “When God calls the Obi, the community will clean up the place for the next person,” he said.
Elumelu also took the opportunity to thank the Delta State PDP Chairman for his unwavering support, describing the commissioning as a clear demonstration of their collective commitment to the M.O.R.E Agenda. He reiterated that these projects were meant to benefit the people, highlighting the importance of giving back to the communities that had consistently supported the PDP in Delta State.
“I do what I do because I am passionate about serving the people,” Elumelu shared. “It is not about being in office, but about ensuring that the people are happy and their needs are met.” He expressed gratitude to the people of Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency for their support over the years and affirmed his continued dedication to their welfare.

Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, also expressed his joy at the commissioning of the projects, noting that even during Elumelu’s sabbatical from office, he had continued to prioritize infrastructure and human capital development. Bazim Chinye commended the state government’s proactive approach in executing the M.O.R.E Agenda and urged the benefiting communities to take responsibility for the upkeep of the projects.
Traditional rulers from the area, including His Royal Majesty Obi Agbogidi Nduka of Issele-Uku, Obi Charles Anyasi III of Idumuje-Uno, and Obi Chukwunomoso Nwoko of Idumuje-Ugboko, also expressed their appreciation for the ongoing contributions of Elumelu to the development of their communities and the traditional institution.
