Education Ministry To Embark On Quality Assurance Visits To Private Schools

ASABA/Nigeria: In furtherance of effective service delivery for the overall benefit of the society, the Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, through its department of the Quality Assurance, has concluded plans to embark on a full scale quality assurance visits to  private nursery, primary and secondary schools in the state.

A statement signed by the Director of Quality Assurance/Inspectorate, Mr. Enerst Ossai, on behalf of the Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Mr. Patrick Ukah, said that the monitoring visit was targeted at all schools, especially private secondary, primary and nursery schools operating illegally in  the state.

The statement added that the initiative was in pursuance of the ministry’s mandate of ensuring quality teaching and learning in the state just as it urged Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) in the 25 local government areas in the state to enforce compliance of the directive.
