DTSG Fumigates Prof. Chike Edozie’s Secretariat

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Government (DTSG) has commenced the fumigation of Prof. Chike Edozie’s Secretariat for the maintenance of the State of Art Structure in line with the Governor’s agenda for an effective hygiene practice for the workforce.
The State Commissioner for Special Projects, Mr. Henry Sakpra stated this in Asaba while supervising the fumigation exercise.
Mr. Sakpra, who was accompanied by the Director of Special Projects, Mr. Emmanuel Siakpere said that the initiative was in tandem with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration’s resolve and policy to give civil servants a conducive environment to carry out their official duties at all times.
The Commissioner noted that conducive working environment was an important factor to boost the productivity of the workforce, adding that the State Government considered it necessary to embark on the fumigation initiative.
Mr. Sakpra, who said that the three days fumigation exercise commenced on Friday, August 19 after work hours and would end on Sunday, August, 21, 2022, disclosed that a reputable fumigation company, the Amazing Grace was handling the exercise for the State Government.
He said that the fumigation was necessary in order to keep most of the electrical and mechanical devices as well as government’s documents safe.
He hinted that before the commencement of the fumigation, civil servants and other users of the secretariat were duely informed.
