Dr. U. Phillip Igbinadolor Joins PDP Campaign Council for Edo State Gubernatorial Election

BENIN-CITY/Nigeria: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has made a strategic move by appointing Dr. U. Phillip Igbinadolor, a distinguished Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, to its campaign council for the upcoming Edo State gubernatorial election.

Grand Knight Emeritus, Sir Tonna Okei (Ikuku Oma), President of the South Carolina Organization of African Unity (OAU), praised the appointment in a congratulatory message dated May 14, 2023. He described Dr. Igbinadolor as a highly respected and influential health professional whose extensive experience and global connections will greatly benefit the campaign.

“Dr. Igbinadolor is a seasoned professional and a dependable humanist who can be trusted with any responsibility,” Okei stated. “His commitment to service and promotion of sustainable development and good governance is unwavering.”

Okei, also an African Culture Ambassador and author of “I Am Still Standing,” highlighted Dr. Igbinadolor’s impressive academic and professional background. Born in Benin City, Edo State, Dr. Igbinadolor earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Benin College of Medical Sciences. He furthered his education at the University of London King’s College, obtaining an MSc in Dental Public Health and becoming a Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr. Igbinadolor’s career includes advanced studies in Cosmetic and General Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh, where he also completed programs in Dental Anesthesiology and Branemark System dental implants. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and past presidency of the University of Benin Alumni Association North America (UBAANA). He has been recognized with numerous awards, including the ANPA 2023 Exceptional Contribution Award.

Currently, Dr. Igbinadolor is the President of U. Phillip Igbinadolor, DMD and Associates, P.A., based in Monroe and Charlotte, NC. He is actively involved in philanthropy and is married to Dr. Awawu Igbinadolor, an internist, with whom he has three children.

Okei concluded his message by expressing confidence in Dr. Igbinadolor’s ability to contribute significantly to the PDP’s campaign and the future of Edo State. “Edo people are fortunate to have such an illustrious son,” he remarked, offering a prayer for Dr. Igbinadolor’s success in his native Agbor language.
