Dr. Samuel Ossai, Joins Sen. Okurounmu, Fagbemi, SAN, Akinboye, Okegbue, and others for Afrikanwatch 2020 Award/ Lecture
LAGOS/Nigeria: The member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani at the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr. Samuel Chukwuneye Ossai had been selected to receive the Afrikanwatch Media Gold Merit Award along other Nigerians.
The much awaited Afrikanwatch Network 2020 Lecture and Award initially billed to hold last April, will now hold on October 10, 2020, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN. The event is slated to take place at the Alumni Association Complex, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos with the theme: 1999 Constitution and the Economy; what hope for the Nigerian people, according to the Publisher /Editor-in-Chief, Mark C. Orgu.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Daniel Njienue, who is also the Head of News/Strategy of the News outfit in a press release noted that a short analysis of this year’s theme will be given by Prof. Timothy Atte, while discussants will include: Prof. Solomon Akinboye, A professor of Political Science and International Relations, University of Lagos, Col. (Barr) Abayomi Dare retd, former legal Director of the Nigerian Army, Sen. Femi Okurounmu and Chief (Dr) Nzeribe Okegbue JP. The event would be held in a strict adherence to the NCDC guidelines.

William Metieh, Senior Technical Adviser to the Presidential Taskforce on Power, Engr. Enebi Shaibu Onuchayo, Deputy Director, Inspection and Compliance, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON). Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko, Vice President of NAGAF, and Prof. Andrew Obafemi, Professorial Chair and Director for Centre for disaster risk Management, University of Port Harcourt. At the event, the 2020 Afrikanwatch Memoir will launched.
In the same vein, Chief (Dr) Nzeribe Okegbue JP, Rev. Fr. (Prof) Anthony Kanu (OSA) (Rector, Villanova), Col. (Barr) Yomi Dare retd, Dr. Ademola Azeez .(Provost, FCE, Technical Akoka, Prof. Timothy Atte, a Consultant on Defense, Security and International Law and Military Justice Jurisprudence and, Tunde Ladipo (Assistant Controller-General, Nigerian Correctional Service) will be conferment with Afrikanwatch Lifetime Grand National Mentor (ALGNM)”
