DESOPADEC Calls for Stronger Partnership with Warri South to Drive Development

WARRI/Nigeria: The Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Ebenezer Okorodudu, has called for a stronger partnership between the Commission and the Warri South Local Government Council to enhance development in oil-producing communities.
Chief Okorodudu made the call on Wednesday, January 29, during a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, at the council’s secretariat in Warri, Delta State.
Noting that Warri South is home to the DESOPADEC corporate office and one of its mandate areas, Okorodudu stated that his visit was part of a familiarization tour to stakeholders across the Commission’s areas of operation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in accelerating grassroots development.
“DESOPADEC, as an interventionist agency, was established to address the needs of oil-producing communities. Warri South is a key oil-bearing area, and I am here to seek your support in fostering a robust partnership between DESOPADEC and the council to drive development,” he stated.
He further assured that the Commission remains committed to infrastructure projects and other critical services, reaffirming his openness to collaboration. He also described Agbateyiniro as a leader with a reputation for excellence and generosity.
In response, the Warri South Chairman, Hon. Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged his administration’s commitment to working closely with DESOPADEC to advance the growth and development of Warri South.
“We are partners in progress, and I assure you of our readiness to collaborate with DESOPADEC to bring meaningful development to our communities,” Agbateyiniro stated.

Evans Omene, Technical Assistant to EDP; and Engr. Mathew Onokpasa, Special Assistant to EDP, among others.
