ASABA/Nigeria: The State Coordinator of the Delta Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (D-CARES) program, Lady Dr. Patience Ogbewe, has lauded the outstanding performance of the six Technical Heads overseeing the initiative’s implementation across the state.
Their commendable efforts were highlighted during the 3rd Independent Verification Assessment (IVA) conducted by the World Bank.
Dr. Ogbewe, who also serves as the Secretary of the State CARES Steering Committee (SCSC), expressed her appreciation during a debriefing session with the Technical Heads, following a recent NG-CARES Technical meeting held in Abuja, attended by the Delta State Commissioner of Ministry of Economic Planning, Mr. Sonny Ekedayen.
Grateful for the unwavering support of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborewori, Dr. Ogbewe emphasized the Governor’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of Deltans.
She credited the collaborative efforts of the Technical Heads for facilitating assistance to over 46,000 individuals in Delta State, a milestone validated by the World Bank’s rigorous assessment process.
As a seasoned International Development Expert, Dr. Ogbewe urged the Technical Heads to maintain their momentum, emphasizing the state government’s expectation for continued impactful results to benefit the citizens of Delta.
In response, the Heads of the delivery platforms expressed their gratitude towards Dr. Ogbewe’s exemplary leadership, pledging to build upon their achievements and further enhance the program’s effectiveness for the greater good of Delta’s populace.
