Deltans Receive Commendation from Speaker Oborevwori for Voting PDP
ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed his gratitude to the people of Delta State for entrusting their votes to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He assured them that his administration would work hand in hand with the people to advance the state.
the Governor expressed this during a reception held on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Senator Ned Nwoko’s Idumuje-Ugboko country home in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Governor Oborevwori commended Senator Nwoko for returning to celebrate with his constituents. He also encouraged all members of the National Assembly to regularly visit their communities and connect with the people.
The governor extended his appreciation to Delta North and the entire state for their support of the PDP, assuring them that his administration would be inclusive and prioritize the welfare of all citizens.
Governor Oborevwori stated, “I want to take this opportunity to thank the Anioma people for voting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I promise you that Delta North will not be left behind. We will collaborate and propel this state forward together.”
He continued, “Congratulations to you, Senator Ned Nwoko, for returning home to celebrate with your constituents. Throughout the years, I have known you as a down-to-earth individual who relates to people from all walks of life. Your approach is exactly what we need now, especially with the implementation of the Biometric Voter Authentication System (BVAS) in our electoral process, ensuring that no one is left neglected.”
Governor Oborevwori assured Senator Nwoko that as the representative of the Anioma people, he should keep their interests at heart, not just those of the PDP. He encouraged the senator to continue his engagement with the people and emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong connection with his constituency.
The governor concluded, “I urge you, as you head to Abuja, to keep returning home and engaging with your constituents. I am confident that Delta State will progress to greater heights under your leadership.”
Senator Nwoko expressed his appreciation to the Anioma nation for electing him and thanked everyone for joining in the celebration of his successful inauguration. He pledged to collaborate with the Federal Government to address the issue of erosion, which has posed a continuous threat to communities, lives, and property along the River Niger.
