Delta Youth Commissioner Confident in Team Delta’s Victory at National Youth Games

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. ThankGod Trakiriowei, has expressed confidence in Team Delta’s chances of winning the ongoing 8th edition of the National Youth Games in Asaba.
Speaking to journalists at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Friday as the games officially commenced, Barr. Trakiriowei praised the level of preparation made for the event. He highlighted that sports serve as a powerful tool for harnessing the potential of young people, aligning with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which prioritizes youth development.
The commissioner encouraged the athletes to give their best performances while urging them to refrain from using illegal substances to enhance their performance.
The National Youth Games, which kicked off on Thursday, were officially declared open by President Bola Tinubu, who was represented by the Minister for Sports, Senator John Enoh.
