ASABA/Nigeria: In a significant step toward advancing agricultural development in Delta State, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Barrister Perez Omoun, has officially inaugurated the State Executive Committee (Exco) of Gofarm Nigeria Limited at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat along Maryam Babangida Road in Asaba earlier today.
The agrocentric event garnered attention not only from within the state but also from the headquarters of Gofarm Nigeria Limited in Makurdi, Benue State. One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the state’s Grand Patron, Pharmacist Paul Enebeli, who graced the occasion with his distinguished presence.
The ceremony was marked by a high-profile delegation from Gofarm Nigeria Limited, further highlighting the significance of the occasion for the agricultural sector in Delta State. The presence of top officials from the company’s headquarters demonstrated a strong commitment to the state’s agricultural development.
In his address, Barrister Perez Omoun emphasized the importance of translating words into action. He stated, “Next is to roll up sleeves and walk our talk. A tough order, no doubt. With the state government embracing this noble idea, we have no option but to ensure that we walk the talk across the state.”
The event also saw the unveiling of key members of the DELTA GOFARM COMMUNITY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, who will play pivotal roles in the implementation of the agricultural initiatives in the state:
