Delta State Swearing-In Ceremony Rescheduled to 12 Noon

ASABA/Nigeria: The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected chairmen of the 25 local government areas in Delta State, initially scheduled for 10 am today at the Event Center in Asaba, has been postponed to noon. According to information, this change is due to prior official commitments by the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a statement issued yesterday by Mr. A.N. Tetsola, Permanent Secretary, Protocol, Government House, Asaba, and made available to NewsDen, the original timing of the ceremony was announced. It read: “Kindly be informed that His Excellency the Governor will preside over the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected chairmen and vice-chairmen of the 25 LGAs in the State on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Event Centre Asaba at 10 am.”
Despite the rescheduling, the ceremony will still take place at the Event Center, highlighting the state government’s commitment to the democratic process and effective local governance.
The newly elected chairmen to be sworn in are:
