Delta State Governor’s Sister Weds in Grand Ceremony

EFFURUN/Nigeria: Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, has bestowed his sister, Ogheneochuko Oborevwori, in marriage to Mr. Maurice Osirim in a lavish event attended by notable figures from Nigeria’s political and social spheres.

The traditional marriage occurred at the Governor’s Osubi country home, followed by a wedding ceremony at Living Faith Church, Osubi in Okpe Local Government Area.

Distinguished guests included Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, Deputy Governor of Delta State Sir Monday Onyeme, and former Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. Also present were Senator Ned Nwoko, Chief Great Ogboru, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzino, alongside other dignitaries.

The event featured a sermon titled “Ideal Marriage” by Resident Pastor Isaiah Salawu, emphasizing the sanctity of marriage as a divine covenant. Pastor Salawu urged the couple to prioritize love, unity, and devotion to God in their union.

The reception, held at the KFT Events Centre, Effurun, saw Governor Oborevwori expressing profound gratitude to attendees for their support and affection towards the Oborevwori family.

“I want to appreciate all of you for the love that you have shown to the Oborevwori’s family by joining us to celebrate the couple who were joined today in holy matrimony a few hours ago,” Governor Oborevwori said, expressing his joy and gratitude.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Oborevwori family, resonating with opulence, camaraderie, and heartfelt blessings for the newlyweds’ journey ahead.
