Delta State Governor Urges Excellence in Project Execution
ASABA/Nigeria: Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori underscored his administration’s commitment to quality as he inaugurated the boards of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency and the Warri, Uvwie, and Environs Development Agency at Government House, Asaba. The governor emphasized the imperative of appointees engaging only contractors with a proven track record of performance.
Governor Oborevwori, speaking at the ceremony, commended the new appointees for their dedication to the state’s growth and development. He challenged the newly inaugurated boards to establish robust governance structures to enhance the agencies’ overall performance.
“Given the strategic importance of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency and the Warri, Uvwie, and Environs Development Agency to our urban renewal initiatives, it is imperative that they are run by individuals who align with the policy direction of this administration,” Governor Oborevwori stated.
He further highlighted the commonality of purpose and values among the new board members, emphasizing their shared commitment to the state’s progress. The governor expressed confidence that this appointment would inspire them to contribute significantly to the realization of the administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
Governor Oborevwori reiterated his administration’s strict stance on project quality, declaring, “This administration has zero tolerance for sub-standard projects.” He urged the boards to prioritize excellence in project execution and to engage only contractors with a proven history of performance and excellence.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Dr. Emmanuel Okoro expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve and pledged their commitment to aligning with the M.O.R.E Agenda of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme; State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Kingsley Esiso; Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt.
