Delta State Governor Extends Warm Wishes to Nigerians on 63rd Independence Anniversary

ASABA/Nigeria: In a heartfelt message, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has extended his warmest congratulations to Nigerians as the nation marks its 63rd independence anniversary.

The Governor’s felicitation was conveyed through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.

Governor Oborevwori used the occasion to encourage his fellow citizens not to lose hope despite the challenging circumstances facing the country. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective efforts to address the nation’s current challenges.

The Governor urged not only Deltans but all Nigerians to stand together and support governments at all levels in their endeavor to rescue the nation and revitalize its economy. He stressed the need for solidarity in these trying times.

In his statement, Governor Oborevwori stated, “On behalf of the Government and people of Delta, I congratulate Nigerians as we celebrate the 63rd anniversary of our Country’s independence. I send my warm felicitations to President Bola Tinubu, Deltans, and the people of Nigeria on this year’s independence anniversary.”

Highlighting Nigeria’s role as a beacon of inspiration in Africa, the Governor lauded the nation’s rich diversity and its history of democratic governance spanning over six decades. He expressed confidence in the continuous growth of Nigeria’s democratic system.

Governor Oborevwori also underlined the accomplishments of his administration in Delta State, including efforts to improve the well-being of the state’s workforce and significant investments in infrastructure development. Notably, he mentioned the recent approval of N78 billion contracts for the construction of three flyovers, a cloverleaf, and road expansion in Effurun and Warri, the state’s commercial hub.

He concluded by assuring the people of Delta State that his administration remained steadfast in delivering on its M.O.R.E. Agenda and vowed to provide strong governance throughout his tenure.
