Delta State Deputy Speaker Commends Governor Oborewovri’s Ambitious Infrastructure Drive
EKU/Nigeria: Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborewovri’s commitment to enhancing the state’s infrastructure. Akpowowo expressed his belief that the governor’s dedicated efforts signify a preparedness for effective governance.
Reflecting on the legacies of previous governors such as Chief James Ibori, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, and Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, Akpowowo acknowledged their commendable work in addressing infrastructure challenges. However, he emphasized the existence of untapped potential for further improvement, a space recognized by a conscientious leader striving to make a lasting impact.
“Governor Sherrif has chosen to focus on bolstering the infrastructure base, particularly in urban areas like Warri, Effurun, and Uvwie. The progress made so far is promising, and we have confidence that his administration will excel as it unfolds,” remarked Akpowowo during a gathering in Eku.
Highlighting the significance of Governor Oborewovri’s initiatives, the deputy speaker mentioned the groundbreaking ceremony conducted in November 2023, marking the official commencement of the infrastructure projects. Akpowowo expressed confidence in the timely completion of the projects, underscoring the positive reception they have received across the state.
“This milestone was prominently celebrated during the governor’s first 100 days in office. Even without the formal agreement signed at that time, the subsequent approval and groundbreaking in November have earned widespread accolades. Notably, even Pa. EK Clark, a discerning critic of successive administrations, commended Oborewovri, a testament to the magnitude of this achievement,” added Akpowowo.
Rt. Hon. Akpowowo asserted that Governor Sheriff Oborewovri is charting a historic course, poised to leave Delta State in a better condition with effective support from all stakeholders.
