Delta State Deputy Governor Assures FRSC of Government’s Support in Road Accident Reduction

ASABA/Nigeria: The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, has pledged the support of the government in efforts to minimize road accidents, as he received a courtesy visit from the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Udeme Eshiet. The meeting took place at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday.

Onyeme expressed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the existing relationship between the Delta State Government and the FRSC. He emphasized the willingness of the government to implement programs that would benefit the citizens of Delta State. Recognizing the significant role played by the FRSC, Onyeme acknowledged the organization’s efforts in averting road accidents and safeguarding lives on a daily basis.

“The FRSC is a very important organ of the government, and we are aware of all the dangers that are being prevented on our roads due to your activities,” said Onyeme. “The government of Delta State has consistently collaborated with the FRSC, and I assure you that this partnership will continue to thrive.”

The Deputy Governor also praised the FRSC for their assistance to accident victims and their contribution to alleviating traffic congestion. He assured the Corps Commander that the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori would further strengthen the relationship with the FRSC, taking into account the various areas in which the Delta State Government has supported the organization, including the FRSC Training Institute in Owa Alero.

During the meeting, Onyeme encouraged Corps Commander Eshiet to maximize his strategies in curbing road accidents within the state. He expressed his desire for a fruitful collaboration and wished the FRSC representative a successful tenure in Delta State.

In his remarks, Corps Commander Eshiet conveyed his congratulations to the Deputy Governor on his successful inauguration and assumption of office. He recalled the excellent work relationship between the FRSC and the government during Sir Onyeme’s tenure as the Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Services (DIRS).
