Delta State College of Nursing Sciences, Asaba Holds Inaugural Matriculation Ceremony
ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State College of Nursing Sciences, Asaba, has officially matriculated its first set of students, marking a historic milestone for the institution.
The inaugural matriculation ceremony, held on January 29, 2025, was presided over by the Deputy Provost, Mrs. Ikoko Obiangeli, who administered the matriculation oath and oversaw the signing of the matriculation register, formally inducting the students into the college.
In her keynote address, Mrs. Lisa N.N. charged the students to remain focused on their academic journey, reminding them that “for those who are determined, the sky is not the limit but only the beginning.”
As part of the event, the college also recognized outstanding students across various classes. Presenting the awards, the Provost Mrs. Christiana Oteri commended the recipients and urged all students to strive for academic excellence.
Members of the college community, including Mrs. Inikori Gloria, expressed deep appreciation to the Delta State Government under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, and the Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Atikpo Mercy Ufuoma, for their unwavering support of nursing education, describing the profession as a noble calling.
