ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Government has assured that it will continue to partner with federal establishments in the state to enable them carry out their functions effectively.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, gave the assurance when the Committee of Heads of Federal Establishments in the state visited him in his office in Asaba.

Chief Ukah said that there should be a stronger synergy between the state government and the federal government for the good of all in the state to pave way for more developments.

He frowned at situations where the federal government would terminate projects being executed by the state for the benefit of all and urged heads of the federal agencies in the state to communicate to their headquarters in Abuja of this development.

The SSG particularly mentioned the erection of street lights from the Asaba end of the Niger Bridge to Issele Azagba Junction but was stopped by one of the federal agencies in the state, which according to him, would have helped in checking criminal activities around those vicinities.

Earlier, the Chairman of the committee, Mr. Abraham Enukpere, said that the visit was to strengthen the relationship between the state government and the federal establishments in the state for development to thrive.
