Acting on intelligence, operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT), led by ASP Julius Robinson, raided the hideout of a notorious kidnap gang leader, identified as Emeka (surname unknown), at Evwokenren Layout, Agbarho, in Ughelli North Local Government Area on February 2. The operation led to the recovery of a fabricated semi-automatic Beretta pistol with four rounds of live ammunition, four locally made cut-to-size guns, thirteen rounds of live cartridges, and a pair of military uniforms concealed in a black polythene bag. The suspect was arrested, while a manhunt is ongoing to apprehend other members of the gang.

They were found in possession of three locally made long guns and charms. The suspects, who claimed to be hunters traveling from Zaria, Kaduna State, to Igbogri community near Benin, were taken into custody for further investigation.
Additionally, on January 17, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Agbarho Division, CSP Pius Eredei, acting on a tip-off, led officers to the residence of a suspect, Eriga Enyuche (40), where a G-3 rifle and a pump-action gun were discovered hidden in the ceiling.
