Delta Police Arrest Two Over Murder of Site Manager, Exhume Victim’s Body

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the brutal murder of Chigozie Udalor, a site manager at a fish farm in Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as David Tacho and Daniel Orshio, were apprehended after an intelligence-led investigation linked them to the crime.
According to the police, Udalor was reported missing by his cousin, Hyacinth Nnalue, on December 12, 2024, two days after he was last seen. Investigations revealed that Udalor’s workers conspired to kill him after discovering funds in his Moniepoint account. The assailants, including two fugitives—Pius Daniel and Victor Tacho—allegedly struck him on the head with a hammer, tied him up, and buried him in a shallow grave at the site.
The breakthrough in the case came on March 31, 2025, when police operatives arrested David Tacho while attempting to withdraw money from the victim’s account. His accomplice, Daniel Orshio, was also taken into custody, while efforts are ongoing to track down the two remaining suspects.
The remains of the deceased have been exhumed and are awaiting an autopsy. Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has assured the public that no effort will be spared in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
