DELTA LOCKDOWN: 200 Okada Riders in Kwale Get Relief Materials from Philanthropists

KWALE/Nigeria: To cushion the effect of the extended Lockdown by the Delta State Government, about 200 Okada riders in kwale, Ndokwa West Local government Area, had received some relief materials, worth 2 million naira by three Philanthropists today, April 15, 2020.

The philanthropists are, Mr. Moses Akpe, Mr. Lucky Anoka and Mr. Polycarp Mogbolu. Speaking on behalf of the trio, Mr. Moses Akpe a Community Relations Officer to one of the Oil firms in Kwale said they felt that the total lockdown in Delta State affects to large extent Okada riders who depend on their daily ride income to survive. He also appealed to Okada rides to reciprocate their kind gesture by moderating their fares too.

Mr. Moses Akpe Stated that they packed for each recipient items worth over Seven thousand naira (N7000) for each of the two hundred recipients from each unit of the Okada Riders and tricycle riders in Kwale.

the Okada riders said they were very happy to receive the package and thanked the donors for remembering them in this difficult times.

Each of the recipient got a pack containing Rice, Beans, noodles and other beverages
