Delta First Lady Declares 2025 as Year of Divine Expansion, Increased Productivity

ASABA/Nigeria: The Wife of the Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has declared that the state is set for divine expansion and increased productivity across all sectors in 2025.

She made this declaration on Monday at the 2025 Mothers Arise prayer conference held at the Government House Chapel, Asaba, with the theme “Rehoboth” (Genesis 26:23).

Deaconess Oborevwori expressed confidence that Delta State would experience God’s promise of peace, fruitfulness, and prosperity, assuring residents that they would be exempted from the prevailing challenges facing the nation.

She expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, for her inspiring message and commitment to humanity, praying that God would continue to use her mightily across the world. She also appreciated the wives of traditional rulers, dedicated women, and all attendees for their presence, urging them to keep praying for her husband, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the MORE Agenda, and the people of Delta State.

In her sermon, Bishop Felix-Adejumo urged women to visualize their destiny, embrace happiness, and maintain discipline in their journey through life. She emphasized the need for mothers to pray fervently for their children, particularly their firstborns, citing the example of Esau and Jacob in Genesis 27:1.

“You must, as a mother, pray for your children, and more specifically for your firstborn. Firstborns are not born; they are made,” she said.

She also cautioned women against surrounding themselves with irrelevant people and encouraged them to seek strategic helpers who would support them in their lives. The session concluded with a call to action for women to take control of their destinies, remain mindful of their surroundings, and intercede for their families and the state.

Prayers were offered for families, Governor Oborevwori, members of the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary, as well as for peace in Delta State and Nigeria.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including former First Lady Dame Edith Okowa, wife of the Speaker, Mrs. Timiebi Guwor, wives of government appointees, and members of the clergy, among others.
