Delta Deputy Governor Onyeme Visits Akwa Ibom Counterpart, Mourns Late Blessing Eyakenyi
UYO/Nigeria: The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, on Monday paid a condolence visit to his Akwa Ibom counterpart, Senator Dr. Akon Eyakenyi, over the tragic passing of her daughter, Blessing Eyakenyi Olumuyiwa Adewumi.
Adewumi, who was born in 1995 and got married on June 22, 2024, passed away on January 27, 2025, at a hospital in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, due to complications during childbirth.
During the visit to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Sir Onyeme was accompanied by the Deputy Governors of Rivers, Professor (Mrs) Ngozi Nma Odu; Bayelsa, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo; and Cross River, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, as they extended their sympathies to the grieving family.
A Service of Songs will be held in her honor on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
