KWALE/Nigeria: In a resolute stance towards bolstering the infrastructural landscape, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has affirmed the commitment of the State Government to link communities with roads and bridges.
The Governor Stated this during inspection tour encompassing the Okpanam-Ibusa bypass road, Beneku bridge, Emevor-Orogun Road, Orere bridge, and Model Technical College, Orerokpe, Governor Oborevwori underscored the pivotal role of these projects in fostering connectivity and progress across the state.
“The Okpanam-Ibusa bypass is a critical artery connecting the Benin/Asaba highway to Ibusa, facilitating vital access for the surrounding populace,” remarked Governor Oborevwori, expressing his diligence in ensuring project continuity for the state’s sustainable advancement.
He further elucidated, “The Beneku bridge holds paramount significance for the denizens of Ndokwa West and Ndokwa East, liberating them from the reliance on pontoons for vehicular passage. This administration remains steadfast in its dedication to completing ongoing endeavors and initiating novel ones.”
Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering resolve was palpable as he inspected the Emevor-Orogun road phase, commending the contractor for the commendable progress and assuring expeditious completion.
Amidst the backdrop of the Orere bridge, a beacon of connectivity for fifteen villages, Governor Oborevwori reiterated, “We are unwavering in our support for both indigenous and foreign contractors, ensuring the highest standards of quality. The concerted efforts of our predecessors and the current administration underscore our collective commitment to the welfare of all Deltans.”
Archbishop Cyril Odutemu of the Ecclesiastical Province of Bendel echoed the sentiments of many, extolling Governor Oborevwori and his predecessor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for their visionary leadership in advancing infrastructure. He offered prayers for divine providence to facilitate the completion of the Orere bridge project.
Accompanied by key officials including the Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads) Comrade Reuben Izeze, and Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads) Mr. Charles Aniagwu, Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to the state’s development was unmistakable throughout the inspection tour.
