ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension of Honourable Chukwudi Dafe, representing Ukwuani Constituency, and Honourable Oboro Preyo, representing Bomadi Constituency, following the expiration of the 14 legislative days suspension imposed for alleged gross misconduct.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, announced during Tuesday’s plenary, noting that an investigative committee had been constituted to examine the allegations against the two lawmakers. However, he explained that the legislators were recalled as the committee had yet to submit its findings, and their suspension period had elapsed.

The motion for the Bill’s first reading was seconded by Honourable Bridget Anyafulu, representing Oshimili South, and the second reading was deferred to January 28, 2025.
