College Of Commerce, Warri To Celebrate 75th Anniversary, As COCOSA Set To Unveil Signpost
WARRI/Nigeria: College of Commerce, Warri one of the foremost founded commercial school in per-independent Nigeria in Warri and in the whole of defunct Bendel State is set to celebrate its 75th anniversary in a grand style with a three day lined up activities.
The College Commerce Old Students Association, COCOSA as part of activities marking the Diamond Jubilee of the institution is set to unveil the new signboard of the school as well as embark on a tour to the college.
College of Commerce Warri, was founded by two good friends, Chief Joseph Kagho Omomadia JP, the Ezomo of Iyede Kingdom and Barr. Chief Edward Gbagbeke Sido on April 14, 1946.
According to a statement from the National President of COCOSA, Barr. Ederi Patrick, Victor Kolawole Enijuni, Chief Reginald Amadi, National Secretary and Chairman Anniversary Planning Committee respectively, adds that the three days event will commence Thursday November 18, 2021 with a rally/Inspection of School Premises and official Commissioning of School Signboard.
While Day 2 Friday 19 November there will be lecture, Cultural display, Football Match between the Current/Old Students at the college premises and day 3 Saturday Nov. 20, 2021 will be an Award and Gala Nite at BB Hotel Deco Road, Warri.
The Ovie of Agbarha-Warri Kingdom, His Rotal Majesty, Orhifi Ememoh 11, will be Royal Father of the day, while the Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Thomas Ereyitomi is special guest of honour all COCOSA planning committee members including Secretary COCOSA media & publicity subcommittee, Celestine Ukah and all members are co-host at the event.
