Clean Ecosystem Foundation Launches Environmental Clubs in Delta Schools

ASABA/Nigeria: The Clean Ecosystem Foundation, a dedicated environmental NGO, has launched a new initiative to establish Environmental Clubs in secondary schools across Delta State, aiming to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates.

Focused on championing a greener future “one community at a time,” the foundation’s mission is to foster a world where every community thrives in a clean, safe, and sustainable environment. By combining education, mobilization, and direct action, the foundation seeks to empower individuals and organizations to tackle climate change and environmental hazards.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, Comrade Timothy Ogheneovo Emorhakpor, Director of Programmes at the foundation, noted that the failure to enforce existing environmental policies has contributed to challenges such as climate change, ozone layer depletion, and loss of biodiversity. He emphasized that educating young people to become environmental ambassadors is essential to reversing these trends.

“By establishing Environmental Clubs, we are not only creating awareness but also equipping the next generation with the knowledge to lead environmentally responsible lives,” Emorhakpor stated.

The first club was inaugurated at MasterCare International School in Asaba, with plans to expand to Government College, Ughelli, and Beach Secondary School, Koko, in the coming weeks.

The Clean Ecosystem Foundation encourages individuals of all ages to join the cause and contribute to building a sustainable future for generations to come.
