Buratai to Deliver Keynote as Authentic News Daily Marks 10th Anniversary with Awards, Lectures
KADUNA/Nigeria: Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (Rtd), is set to deliver the keynote address at the 10th edition of the Authentic News Daily Awards and Lectures. Buratai, Nigeria’s longest-serving Army Chief, confirmed his participation after receiving an official letter on Monday, April 28, 2025.
In the letter dated Friday, April 25, and signed by Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Amos Ebute Mathew, Buratai was formally invited to headline the event scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Auditorium Hall of Arewa House, Kaduna. The ceremony will also feature Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who will be honoured with the prestigious Authentic Woman of the Year 2024 Award.
Themed “Religion as a Tool for Peace and National Unity,” the lecture session will feature presentations from Reverend Joseph John Hayab, Chairman of CAN 19 Northern States and FCT (Christian perspective); Sheik Halliru Abdulahi Maraya, Islamic cleric and Northern Coordinator of Global Peace Foundation Nigeria (Islamic perspective); and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu (Government perspective).
