British Court Orders Release of $1.2 Million to Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko

ABUJA/Nigeria: In a landmark ruling, the City of London Magistrates’ Court has ordered the release of $1,199,965 to Nigerian Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, affirming his ownership of the funds frozen in an account linked to Mr. Keith Davies.

The dispute arose after the funds, originally transferred by Nwoko to an intermediary named Abubakar, were subsequently moved to Davies, who presented himself as a broker. Authorities froze the account as questions about the ownership of the funds emerged.

After a thorough review, the court declared Nwoko the rightful owner, ordering HSBC to release the money to his legal representatives within seven days. The decision underscores the efficiency and impartiality of the British judicial system in resolving complex financial disputes.

The ruling brings closure to a contentious case and serves as a reminder of the importance of transparency and legal safeguards in international financial transactions.
