APC Group Says No Person From Delta North Will Vote For Its Guber Candidate
ASABA/Nigeria: Supporters of the All Progressive Congress, APC under the aegis of APC, Delta North have vowed that no person from Delta North will vote for the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
The group which has some aggrieved members of the party, described Omo-Agege as clannish and selfish.
Chairman of the group, Chief Sunday Okoro said, “the fact that Senator Omo-Agege is against the emergence of Lauretta Onochie as Chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, shows what he will do with our people when he becomes Governor.
“Imagine Omo-Agege boasting that our Leader, President Mohammadu Buhari did not consult him before nominating our daughter for the NDDC job, who is he that Mr. President must take orders from him?
“We, the members of APC Delta North will work against him the way he is working against our people.
“He is fighting the people of Delta North and he wants our votes, it is impossible.
“He is fighting our leaders and he expects to get our votes; no Delta Northerner will vote for him because he has no respect for our people, including our traditional rulers.”
They stated that they are already sensitising their members to shift their support from Omo-Agege because of his clannish attitude, saying that someone with a large heart should govern Delta State because of its multi-ethnic nature.
Mr. Sylvester Okoro who said that he is a strong member of the APC said, “we know that Omo-Agege does not like our people. He only gave us appointments because he wants to use us for his selfish agenda.
“Our leaders have seen through him that is why nobody is following him around in his kangaroo campaign.”
