Adejobi to Speak on Local Security Solutions at Delta Online Publishers Convention

ASABA/Nigeria: The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has been announced as the guest speaker for the Delta Online Publishers Forum’s (DOPF) 6th Convention and Lecture Series. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 20th November 2024, at the Vienna International Hotel, Asaba.

In a statement released on Saturday, DOPF revealed that Adejobi’s selection followed extensive consultations, with the forum citing his distinguished reputation in security matters and public communication. The lecture, titled “Security Challenges: Finding Local Implementable Solutions,” will tackle pressing security issues in Nigeria, with a particular focus on grassroots-level strategies.

The forum’s Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Enebeli, and Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, praised Adejobi’s wealth of experience in security and his prowess as a communication strategist. “His vast experience in security and public affairs makes him uniquely qualified to address the theme of this year’s lecture. We are confident that his insights will provide invaluable perspectives for our members and participants,” they noted in the statement.

The DOPF leadership expressed optimism that Adejobi’s presentation would yield practical solutions to the ongoing security challenges in Delta State and the wider country. “We trust that ACP Adejobi will bring his expertise to bear on this critical topic, guiding discussions towards meaningful, actionable outcomes that will contribute to a more secure Nigeria,” the statement added.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Archaeology and Geography from the University of Ibadan and a Master’s in African Studies from the same institution. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Peace, Security, and Humanitarian Studies and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Peace and Security Management from Prowess University, Delaware, USA. His career within the Nigeria Police Force has been shaped by a focus on conflict management, making him a well-respected figure in security circles.

In addition to Adejobi’s keynote, the convention will feature a panel discussion with experts from various fields, all of whom have significant experience in security, policy, and management. These panelists, whose credentials will be disclosed in the coming weeks, are expected to contribute further depth to the conversation on Nigeria’s security architecture.

Last year’s lecture, “Fiscal Policy and Taxation: Balancing Revenue Generation and Economic Growth,” was delivered by financial expert Dr Doris Amaka Ochei, founder of the Doris Amaka Ochei Foundation. Dr Ochei, a renowned philanthropist, holds multiple degrees in accounting and public policy and is a chartered tax practitioner.

The DOPF convention remains a critical platform for fostering dialogue on key issues affecting the nation, bringing together experts and stakeholders to engage in constructive discussions aimed at driving positive change.
