Ada Anioma Abducted in Her Church

ASABA/Nigeria: Joan Onyeamech, a prominent politician and former Commissioner for Technical Education in Delta State, widely known as Ada Anioma, has been reportedly abducted. The incident occurred this afternoon at King Jesus & I Church, located off Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.
Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene inside the church. “There was commotion right inside her church close to Sooth Apartment on DBS Road,” one witness recounted.
“We all ran due to the heavy gun shooting. It just happened a few minutes ago; one aide was shot dead, and a security personnel is unconscious now.”
Delta State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, and according to the Police Spokesperson, they are on the trail of the abductors.
.”The Command lost one of its officers in the process,” SP Edafe said. “We are currently on the trail of the abductors and will provide more details as they become available.”
Joan Mrapkpor had recently resigned from her position as Commissioner to support her younger brother’s bid for the Local Government Council Chairmanship election. The circumstances surrounding her abduction remain under investigation.
