CSP Setemi Recognized for Excellence in Delta Policing …..As Ighomrore Describes Remodeled Station as Symbol of Progress

EFFURUN/Nigeria: The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ugborikoko Division, Delta State, CSP Zuokumor Setemi, has been honoured with the Exceptional Security Service and Infrastructural Development Award by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Community Development.
The award, presented after an independent assessment, recognized CSP Setemi’s outstanding achievements in upgrading police infrastructure, strengthening community policing, improving officers’ welfare, and her unwavering commitment to crime prevention within the division.
At the presentation ceremony held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Ugborikoko Police Station, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Dr. Patrick Ighomrore, commended CSP Setemi for deploying internal resources to remodel the station into a modern and efficient facility. He described the renovated police station as “an architectural masterpiece that has enhanced operational efficiency and boosted the image of the Nigeria Police Force.”

“The Office of the Senior Special Assistant is tasked with supporting grassroots development, and CSP Setemi’s exceptional performance fits perfectly into that vision,” Dr. Patrick stated.
In her response, CSP Zuokumor Setemi expressed profound gratitude for the recognition, pledging to continue working to ensure better living and working conditions for officers under her command. She also called on members of the community to protect and maintain police facilities, stressing that these infrastructures serve the collective interests of all Nigerians.
“This Divisional Police Station belongs to every resident, and it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve it,” she urged.
CSP Zuokumor Setemi, who once served as the pioneer commander of the Police Protection Unit in Asaba, has earned widespread respect for her dedication to service, innovation, and community relations across Delta State.
Among those present at the ceremony were the President General of Uvwie Kingdom, Chief Hope Abovi Erute, Dr. Peter Ighoro, Emmanuel Enebeli, and Barrister Solomon Abe.
