6th Delta Sports Festival: Ochor Congratulates Ukwuani LGA Contingents

Ozoro: The representatives of Ukwuani Local Government Area in the just concluded 6th Delta State Sports Festival, has been commended for being among the first ten place on the medal table of the final competition held at the Ozoro Polytechnic Stadium.
The commendation was made by Executive Director, Social Services Development on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Hon Ochor Chris Ochor in an interview with the press at the end of the event.

Hon Ochor praised the athletes and officials for making the LGA proud by hauling enough medals, especially in swimming.
“I commend them for a job well done, both the officials and athletes. They had made us proud, in all the area they performed well, especially in swimming, where we had the highest medal”. He said.
The Executive Director, who also oversees sports as the Executive Director, Social Services in DESOPADEC, says that despite the odds in preparing for the competition, the young sports men and women proved themselves worthy sport ambassadors of the LGA, and must be encouraged to sustain the achievement, and do more in the future.
“Despite all odds, especially finance we had done well, they proved they are worthy ambassadors of the LGA, and they need to be encouraged to sustain this and improve on it”.
He called on the people of Ukwuani to encourage sports development in the area, in any positive way, as such encouragement will impact positively in the social and economic life of the people of the area.
The LGA was fourth on the final medal table with total of 61 medals, after Warri North, 126 medals Oshimili South, 95 medals and Aniocha South, 58 medals.
