2023: Ben Igbakpa is NNPP Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency Candidate – INEC

ABUJA/Nigeria: Credible facts obtained via conventional media reports based on clarifications by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, revealed that Hon Ben Igbakpa, is the House of Representatives candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency, not Ethiope Federal Constituency as wrongly advertised by the embattled candidate.

The findings by newsmen were corroborated by documents personally signed by Ben Igbakpa, as well as INEC’s final list of candidates, pointing to show clearly that Igbakpa is the NNPP House of Representatives candidate in Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie federal Constituency, 2023 election.

The INEC list revealed that there is no NNPP House of Representatives candidate for Ethiope Federal Constituency, whereas Hon Mrs Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu appeared conspicuously as the PDP House of Representatives candidate in Ethiope Federal Constituency.

In the light of the above, Ben Igbakpa’s campaigns in Ethiope Federal Constituency amounts to futile exercise and grave political deception, calculated to divide the votes of the PDP, and it’s popular candidate, Hon Mrs Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu.

Reacting to the latest development, the spokesperson of PDP campaign council in Delta State, Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe appealed to all eligible voters in Ethiope Federal Constituency, comprising Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas, to vote PDP, the Umbrella, on Saturday February 25.

He berated Hon Igbakpa for misleading registered voters in Ethiope Federal Constituency by campaigning vigorously in the two local governments, knowing fully well that he was and still the NNPP House of Representatives candidate in Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency.

“It’s crystal clear that Hon Igbakpa is misleading voters in Ethiope Federal Constituency.

“We urge PDP members to note the character and person of the NNPP candidate whose candidacy is rested in Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency, where our political submarine and Amazon, Rt Hon Evelyn Oboro, holdsway as the foreseeable winner on Saturday,” Oghenesivbe said.
